About us
The NgIMUN is organized as a recreation of the United Nations proceedings, with students role-playing representatives of different countries in UN committees like the General Assembly, Security Council etc. The purpose of the NgIMUN is for students to achieve a greater understanding not only of the UN, but also global issues, through an interactive and enjoyable educational experience.
Model United Nations
Model UN simulations engage hundreds of thousands of students each year, helping them to learn more about the principles of the UN and how it functions. Many of today’s leaders in law, government, business and the arts – including at the UN itself – participated in Model UN as students.

MISSION OF NgIMUN
In efforts to combat worldwide poverty, education is considered a vital device. It is believed that basic education has a significant impact in stimulating a range of positive forces for change and to fight poverty. However, global efforts to ensure every child has access to quality basic education are still far from being achieved, especially in areas that are physically remote and isolated.
VISION OF NgIMUN
Transforming Education:
An urgent political imperative for our collective future
Education is a fundamental human right. It has long held a special place in the hearts and minds of people across the world, and for good reason. Throughout history, it has been a source of personal dignity and empowerment and a driving force for the advancement of social, economic, political, and cultural development.
The Challenge of Education in Developing nations
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) represent a common vision with clear objectives for significant improvement in the quality of people’s lives. Learning and education are at the heart of all development and, consequently, the SDGs spelt out how to ensure that children everywhere — boys and girls — will be able to complete a full course of good quality primary schooling
